Abstract

[EN] The main objective of this work is to study the feasibility of exporting organic gooseberries to Europe as a substitution for illicit crops in indigenous communities. The behavior of the demand for cape gooseberry, pitaya, and passion fruit in European countries such as Germany was analyzed to achieve this objective. A financial analysis of the production and export of cape gooseberry from Cali to Valencia was made. Consumer behavior towards organic cape gooseberry in Namur, Belgium was analyzed As for the methodology for the behavior of demand, the prediction is made focusing exclusively on the statistical components of the series, a database that was obtained from ICECOMEX To model the series of passion fruit, dragon fruit and cape gooseberry, a refinement of the ARIMA mily of models is used. For the second objective of the financial analysis to estimate the costs, revenues, and profitability of gooseberry production and export, information was collected through interviews with organic gooseberry producers from indigenous communities. The information collected included the mode of the organic output, cultivation practices, initial investment in assembly, inputs used, labor, and productivity levels. For the third objective of consumer behavior, a slope was carried out in Namur, Belgium. In conclusion, cape gooseberry is a fruit with great export potential for indigenous communities due to its attractiveness as an exotic fruit in European countries. It has great potential as a substitute crop for illicit crops in the Cauca area, the region of the country where there are more coca crops. (Summary); Tesis por compendio (General)
